About Us

Founded at the National Polytechnic School of Oran, ASEEL Racing Team is a student-led initiative driven by a deep passion for automotive engineering. Our mission is to design and build a competitive Formula Student car that showcases technical excellence and highlights the true potential of Algerian engineering talent.

Powertrain

The Powertrain Department engineers the heart of the vehicle, optimizing performance, efficiency, and reliability within Formula Student regulations.

Core Engineering: Manages engine selection, intake-exhaust design, cooling, and drivetrain integration.
Testing & Analysis: Utilizes simulations to ensure smooth, responsive power delivery.
Ultimate Goal: Balances power output, fuel efficiency, and durability for competitive endurance events.

The Competition

Formula Student: The Engineering Challenge

Formula Student is one of the most prestigious international engineering competitions dedicated to university students. Created in 1981 by SAE International, this competition challenges students to design, develop, manufacture, and compete with a single-seat race car within one academic year. However, Formula Student is far more than a motorsport event; it is a complete educational platform that simulates a real automotive company environment. Each team must not only build a high-performance vehicle but also justify its engineering decisions before industry professionals and defend its financial feasibility and business strategy.

The competition is divided into static and dynamic events. Static events evaluate engineering design, cost analysis, and business presentation, while dynamic events test the car’s acceleration, handling, endurance, and efficiency on track. Formula Student therefore combines technical excellence, innovation, teamwork, project management, and entrepreneurship, making it one of the most comprehensive learning experiences for future automotive engineers.
